Gloria Mae Eiskant

June 1, 1945 — September 30, 2023

Gloria Mae Eiskant, 78, of Great Falls, MT, was born on June 1, 1945, to Robert and Marcella Goerger. She went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2023.

Gloria was a gentle, yet tenacious soul who grew up with 4 sisters that shared a lifelong bond of tender affection for each other. The Goerger girls were all musically gifted and to be able to sit and listen to them sing with one another was always a treat!

Gloria became an LPN after high school and worked at the Columbus Hospital. She met the love of her life, John Eiskant, while he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base. They were married in New York in 1966 and later welcomed a baby boy, Lonny, before moving back to Great Falls where they added two daughters, Barbara and Colleen. Gloria tried a few odd jobs as a young parent, but mostly she devoted all of her love and energy to caring for her family. From cooking, cleaning, reading to her children every night (“Just one more chapter, Mom, please!”), gardening, and sewing, to a million other sacrifices she made, she was the best mother and granny anyone could hope to have.

Gloria was very artistic and spent many years in pursuit of making the perfect butterfly because she was captivated by the imagery of how we, as Christians, are a new creation in Jesus. From a young age, Gloria fell in love with Jesus. He was her supply, her everything. All who knew her were blessed because of the relationship that she had with the Lord. A beautiful part of her legacy was her marriage to John and how their devotion to one another and to the Lord would shine brighter and brighter after 56 years together.

Her parents and her sister, Patty Hausmann, preceded her in death.

She leaves behind her children, Lonny (Theresa) Eiskant, Barbara (Don) Harris, and Colleen Snider (Robin Fladstol); grandchildren, Jessika Eiskant, Ashley Ferguson, Wade Eiskant, Justin Eiskant, Alyssa Preece, Andrea Little, Breanna Cross, and Anthony Snider; great-grandchildren, George and Dylan Preece, Kamdyn Snider, Wesley Cross, Anna Little, and soon-to-be Tulsa Ray; and her beloved sisters, Loretta Anderson, Marie Mills, and Deloris Duquette.

A celebration of life will be held on her birthday, June 1, 2024, at Schnider Funeral Home to commemorate this precious saint.
