Glen William Lovejoy passed away October 8, 2018 at his residence in Simms, Montana. He was 90. Glen was born in Malta Montana on November 16, 1927 to Ernest "Cy" Lovejoy and LaBonna Christiansen Lovejoy. Glen attended school in Lovejoy, Loring and graduating from Malta High School in 1946. He spent about 6 years working on heavy construction and two years in the Army Engineers during the Korean War. He spent the remainder of his life on ranches as a foreman in Loring Montana and in the Eden area south of Great Falls Montana. He retired from the Eidel Ranch in 1989. Glen and his wife Goldie moved to Simms Montana in 1987. Glen married Maxine Trottier in Malta in 1955. They had a daughter, Kari in March of 1956.The two later divorced. Glen married Goldie Bush on November 1, 1974. The two were happily together for 43 years until Goldie's passing on July 9, 2018. Glen's interests were bowling, horseshoes, card playing and traveling. He was great at all of it!! In his younger years, he participated in rodeos in team roping. Glen said he had "the hard part" of roping the back end of the steers. He was a long time Eagles member and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He is survived by his stepdaughter Valerie (Jeff) Hoock; grandson Trevor Howard; granddaughter Morgen Howard, all of Great Falls and his granddaughter Tasha Hines of Malta; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Goldie, daughter Kari Cash and his parents. At his request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
