Gina D. Hansen passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020, from natural causes while at home with her son, Joshua and long-time boyfriend, Lew Plainbull. Gina was born November 29, 1963, to James E. and Cecilia Hansen in Bedford, England. With her father being in the U.S. Air Force, her childhood was spent across a variety of states, and included England three times. Her last time in England, she completed high school in Fakenham, England. After the last trip to England, a move to Omaha, Nebraska, and her father’s military retirement, she and her family ultimately returned to her fathers’ hometown, Great Falls, Montana. She would often look for opportunities to help others in need whenever she was able. Gina was kind hearted, quick to make friends, and trusting of others to a fault. One of her favorite pastimes was studying the Bible. She had no favorite Bible verses, as she found peace in the whole book. Gina loved baking, specializing in cookies, especially during the holidays, and was generous with sweet treats to family and friends. Gina loved Montana. Her favorite thing to do was to travel through the mountains, camping or just a quick road trip. Glacier Park and Monarch, Montana became her favorite recurring trips. As much as she loved touring the state and working at growing her own vegetables as often as possible, her true joy came from her two sons, Joshua James and John Michael Hansen, both from Great Falls. She enjoyed watching them grow into young men, and was incredibly proud of the men they have become. Gina is survived by her sons; sister and brother-in-law, Jodie and Linn Traxel of Great Falls; brother and sister-in-law, John and Amy Hansen of Alaska; three nieces; two great-nephews; and one great-niece; as well as, many friends and extended family members. No services are planned.
