Gertrude Marie Lowery

Trudy was born on February 29, 1932, to Franziska and Franz Prem in Lichtenworth Austria. At the age of 12, they moved to Munich, Germany. She went to school to become a nurse. In 1956, she met Tom Lowery who was an American airman stationed there. By February 1958, they were married, had a new baby boy, and were on their way to the United States. She worked at a nursing home for a few years after moving to Great Falls, but family was so important to them that she became a homemaker and stayed home with their children. Family was a very important part of her life.When her grandchildren were very small, she would take care of them so her daughter could work. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and various crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at their cabin and during the holidays.She has passed on to her family a love of family and all things German!! She will be greatly missed. She will be joining her husband, Tom, in heaven. She survived be her daughter, Gayle (Mark) Mauler; son, Gary Lowery; and grandaughters, Stephanie (Erik) Chosa, and Ashley Mauler. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019, followed by the funeral serviceat 10:00 a.m., both at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
