Gertrude Mamie Johnson

Gertrude M. Johnson, 76, AKA Trudy entered eternal peace on October 18, 2019 at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls after a lengthy history of medical issues. Trudy was born in Porum Oklahoma to John and Marie Clark. She was the third oldest of eight children. Her family moved to Fort Benton and eventually settled in Bynum, where she met and then married farmer and rancher William A. Johnson on June 3, 1961. She was a farmer/ranching wife during her life in the Bynum area. They had two sons, Vern and Bryon. She enjoyed being a farmers wife, she loved cooking and working in her garden and with her flowers. She also loved entertaining her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her son Bryon in 2009 and by her husband William (Bill) in 2017. Trudy is survived by her son Vern Johnson along with multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren which she loved dearly. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on October 24th at the Stage Stop Inn in Choteau, MT. at 1PM.
