Gertrude "Gertie" Rosbarsky

Gertrude Gertie Rosbarsky, 88, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2016.At her request, there will be no services. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Gertie was born in Harlem, Montana on February 28, 1927 to Katherine F. and Philip A. Parks. She attended school in Lewistown and then graduated from Fergus County High School in 1945. She went to beauty school in Great Falls and worked as a beautician. She then married Donald John Rosbarsky on July 10, 1948 in Lewistown, Montana. After raising her children, she worked at the Super 8 Motel for many years.She loved camping, rock collecting, and family gatherings. She was kind hearted, positive, and a wonderful mom. She will be greatly missed.Gertie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents; and brother Calvin Parks.She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Wight; sons Doug (Shelley) Rosbarsky of Missoula and John of Great Falls; daughters Jean (Roger) Effertz of Edmonds, WA and Donna (Dave) Brown of Yakima, WA; and three grandchildren, Dan, Amanda, and Jake.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
