Gertrude Elizabeth Blomquist, 95, of Great Falls, died on Thursday, October 17, 2012, at a local hospital after a fall.There will be a family memorial service at a later date in Seattle.Cremation has taken place.Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Gertrude was born on November 5, 1916 in Fairview, Montana to James Peter Gallogly and Josephine (Michaelson) Gallogly.She moved to Great Falls when she was 10 years old and was educated in Great Falls "public" Schools.She married Earl J. Blomquist on May 17, 1943 in Helena.Gert was employed for over 30 years at the Montana Oil Journal before joining D.A. Davidson & Company in 1975.She served as assistant corporate secretary to Ian Davidson.She retired and spent special times with friends and family.Gertrude is survived by her daughters, Judy Altman of Charles City, VA, and Janice (Ed) Hartstein of Redmond, WA; five grandchildren, Derek (Jolie) Stekly, Eric (Sara) Hartstein, Heather (Patrick) Conniff, and Devin McGlynn; and nine great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl J.
