Gerald "Jerry" Gonser

Gerald Jerry Gonser, 66, of Great Falls, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016.Per his request, no services are planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Gerald was born to Robert and Lucille (Corrigan) Gonser on February 11, 1950 in Great Falls. He attended schools in Great Falls and graduated from Charles M. Russell High School on May 27, 1968.Jerry had numerous jobs throughout his life. He worked at Buttreys Warehouse, Consolidated Freight, Commercial driving and Joes Bar. He was a member of the teamsters union.He loved to go hunting, snowmobiling, and boating on the river. He also loved his dogs and a good cold beer.Survived by his partner of 30 years, Elena; and helped care for Billee; daughter Jamie Popham of Livingston, MT; son Tim (Tanya) Gonser of Great Falls, MT; sister Julie (Ray) Scribner; brothers John (Linda) Gonser and Dean Gonser; grandchildren Jacob and Wyatt Gonser, Dusty and Destiny Popham, Kyton and Jensyn Severson; great grandchildren Harper and Colt; and several well-loved cousins.Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucille Gonser.
