George William Sisko

September 1, 1941 — July 28, 2018

George William Sisko, 76, of Great Falls, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 after an 18 month battle with stomach cancer. A memorial service will be Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Assembly of God Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. George was born on September 1, 1941 in Great Falls to Joseph G. and Helen (O’Connell) Sisko. A true west-sider, he lived his whole 76 years within five blocks of his original family home. He worked many jobs throughout his life and most of his life he held two jobs. His greatest achievement came while serving the community for 32 years at Great Falls Fire Rescue. During his career, he held nearly every rank. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Donna, to which he took great care of and doted on for 52 years. George enjoyed numerous hobbies to which most revolved around hunting and hunting season. He really enjoyed long range shooting. He spent every summer weekend taking care of their immaculate cabin on Hauser Lake. He always made sure family and friends enjoyed their time at the lake. He is survived by his wife, Donna; three children, Bill (Marcia) Bennyhoff, Cindy (David) Logan and Doug (Kathy) Bennyhoff; sister Josephine Williams; brother Joseph (Linda) Sisko; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two uncles; seven nieces; and seven nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Jamie Bennyhoff; and grandson Jason Bartell. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to be given to the incredible Hospice House.
