Gary William White (Duke)

Gary William White (Duke) passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on May 28, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Gary was born on October 7, 1957, to Billy Jo and Dorothy (Kuntz) White. He was the youngest of three children and the only boy.

He moved around with his family, but they always came back to Great Falls. He attended schools in Great Falls through the nineth grade and finally onto Job Corp in Anaconda where he earned his GED along with becoming a Certified Welder.

He held many jobs in many parts of the country welding for Carl Weismans, cooking at Daddies Restaurant in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to oil fields in Oklahoma, and returning to Great Falls where he worked as a Janitor for Super Value Warehouse. He also worked at the Barrell Café as “Jack of All” cooking, cleaning, and fixing, as there were always things to do in a 24-hour restaurant and bar. He married DeAnna Bjork and together they had two sons. They later divorced. He then met Linnie A. Babcock in 1985, and they were together until the very end.

He is survived by his significant other, Linnie Ann Babcock; two sisters, Bobbie Joe (Tom) Schlosser and Debbie Western; son, Robin John White; stepdaughters, Nikki (Joe) Bjork and Kristie Lee (Roger) Bjork; aunt, Jeannie; uncles, Dennis and Kenny; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by all grandparents; his mother and father; and oldest son, Gary William Jr.

Anyone who knew him knew he was all about momma’s and babies and it was always big bubbles no troubles.
