Gary Milton Ross

Gary Ross, 83, of Great Falls passed away December 14, 2017 at Peace Hospice with his family by his side. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1410 13th St. S. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Gary was born on June 22, 1934 in Terry, Montana, the son of Milton and Marian Ross. The family later moved to Glasgow. Gary graduated as a Scotty from Glasgow High School. He married Alice Copeland in November of 1953 in Glasgow. They later divorced in 1975. He joined the Marine Corps at the end of the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge he returned to Great Falls and went to work with his father, Utility Builders, Lewis Construction and free lanced concrete work until he retired when he was 80 years old. Gary married Marjorie Kramarich on Valentine’s Day in 1976 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was a member of Cowboy Action Shooting, Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge. Gary also was a member of the Operator’s Union. He was a part of the Big Sky Parachute Club. Gary enjoyed dancing especially the Jitterbug. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ross of Great Falls; children Lisa (Mark) Cummings, Melodi (Doug) Wald, John (Mona) Kramarich, Cheri (Robyn) Waring, Todd Kramarich and Kevin Kramarich; brother Kelly Ross; sisters Sherrie Beck and Sidnie Jenkins; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by infant daughter Sheila; parents; and brothers Zane and Keith. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Chapter 2 DAV for transportation to the VA medical center in Helena. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.SchniderFuneralHome.com.
