Gary Alan Kuntz, 71, of Great Falls, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at a local hospital with his family at his side.Gary was born on October 31, 1945 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Casper and Gudelle Kuntz. The family moved to Great Falls in 1956. After his schooling he entered the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1967. Gary worked construction until he started his own lawn care business for the next 30 years, retiring from Reliable Lawn Service in the fall of 2016.Gary is survived by his wife, Shirley Kuntz; sister Jackie (Ron) Fowler; Shirleys family; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in North Dakota; and special friend, JoAnne Whitehorn.He was preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Gudelle Kuntz; sisters Bonnie Mader and Edie Henderson; and 2 brothers-in-laws.Gods GiftDid you know that God above sent you down for me to love?He sent you down for all the rest; because he knew Id love you best.I had a heart and it was true; because it went from me to you.So keep it true as I have done, for you have two, and I have none.If I get to heaven and youre not there, Ill cease to read your name upon the golden stairs.So Ill gather up my little things, and give the angels back their wings.Just to prove my love is true, Id even go to hell for you.Author UnknownA celebration of life will be held at the VFW, 4123 10th Ave. S., Great Falls starting at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
