Francis "Frank" Rubis

Francis Frank Rubis, 76, USAF retired, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015.Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Frank was born August 27, 1939 in Spencer, Iowa. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1957. He joined the US Air Force after graduation and was stationed in California, Labrador, Turkey, Sioux City, Iowa, Vietnam, NORAD headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado and finally NORAD at Malmstrom AFB, where he retired. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. After he retired as a MSgt in 1978, he worked as a real estate broker in Great Falls until closing his office in 2001.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his two dogs.Frank is survived by his brother Thomas.
