Frances J. Reichelt

Frances J. Reichelt, 85, of Havre, died on November 4, 2013 at her home of natural causes.Her funeral service will be at Christ Lutheran Church in Big Sandy, on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation 1/2 hour prior to the service.Interment in the Big Sandy Cemetery will follow.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Frances J. Reichelt was born in Warrick, Montana on November 9, 1927, daughter of Frank and Lois Henderson.She attended eight years at a rural school in the Bear Paws and then finished her education in Big Sandy.She married Eugene Reichelt March 20, 1943 in Havre, just prior to Eugene leaving for WWII.She lived in the Big Sandy area.After the children graduated, they moved to Saudi Arabia for five years.They returned to Montana, retiring in Great Falls until Eugene passed away.Three years later, she moved to Havre to be closer to family.Frances belonged to VFW Auxiliary in Big Sandy and held many offices on the local and state level.She was secretary of The Womens Bowling Association for many years and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Great Falls prior to moving to Havre.She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and in past years, sewing.Frances loved doing word search puzzles and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.Survivors include her son, Wayne Reichelt of Havre; daughters Nancy (Bill) Cronin of Havre and Carol Ann Sparky (Dan) Danreuther of Carter; sisters Helen Curtiss and Betty Abel, both of Washington; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one (two on the way) great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Reichelt; parents; son-in-law, Donald Gasvoda; two sisters; a brother; and a grandchild, Brent Reichelt.Memorials in Frances name may be made to Scottish Rite, 1304 13th St. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
