Feliz Albardo Fernandez Almanza

Feliz Albardo Fernandez Almanza is back dancing in her true love's arms! She and Joe Almanza can now dance and be together forever. Mom departed this Earth for Heaven on January 15, 2022, with her daughter Alice and son Joe, comforting her and holding her hand. Alice and Joe lovingly and daily cared for Mom in the last 5 months of her life. Putting Mom's welfare to the forefront, doing all they could to ensure Mom was happy and well cared for. She was born in Lometa, Texas to Refugia Albardo Fernandez and Candelario Fernandez on December 22, 1934. She had her brothers Cruz Fernandez, Gabino Fernandez, Frank Fernandez and John Ramos and her sister Cecilia Guterriez actively involved in her life. She lived in Texas until she moved to Montana and met her husband Joe Nava Almanza. They married on May 3, 1952 in Billings Montana. Mom and Dad had five children Alice, Gloria, Patricia, Joe and Richard. Mom was a smart, innovative woman. She was one heck of a cook. Whatever broke, she would come up with a way to fix it. She was a stay-at-home mom. She was able to raise and feed 4 angels and one hellion (we took turns being the hellion), on the pay Pop got for working for Burlington Northern. She was a true Westsider and loved St Ann's and St Joseph's Church. She was always proud of her husband and her kids and the lives they lived. She always put her faith in God. She and Pop would have so many parties at the family home. Playing their Mexican music with Pop and his friends singing and playing the guitar or the accordion. She and Pop loved to go fishing and camping all around Montana. Mom and Pop loved traveling. They'd go to Billings, MT, Ontario OR, Payette ID, Seattle WA, San Antonio TX, Jackpot NV, Las Vegas NV, San Francisco CA, Ocean City, CA., Denver CO, Black Hawk CO and Fishers IN. Her memory for traveling directions was incredible. She would remember how to get somewhere when she hadn't been there in years. Mom joined all her loved ones in Heaven, her husband of 55 years Joe who passed away on January 14, 2007, her daughter Patricia, her Son-in-Law Douglas Vance, her parents, her brothers Cruz, Gabino and Frank; her sister Cecilia, Her compadre Vicente Gutierrez and her comadre Martha Fernandez. She is survived by her kids Alice (Larry Breitenbach) Almanza Great Falls; Gloria Vance Fishers Indiana; Joe (Dee) Almanza Great Falls and Richard Almanza Great Falls. Her grandkids Donez Dunston, Candice (Danny) Iovine, Glenn Kennedy, Joe (Kira Chilcott) Vance, Ashley Day-Almanza, Kelsey (Tony Rice) Almanza, and Kaci Jo Almanza. Her great grandkids Darien Dunston, Patience Kennedy, Sebastian Iovine, Arrianna Vance, Camden Johnson, Grace Iovine, Dean Iovine and her brother John (Mona) Ramos. Mom has been cremated and in compliance with her wishes and current climate conditions, there will be no service. She asks for her loved ones to remember her with fond memories and to be good to each other. We also would like to thank the Beehive, Pine Tree home, Sara, Shannon, Betty, Bryson, Teresa, Matt, Angelique, Margaret, Kathy, Callie, Debbie and Mike and Mr Brandon Hawk for their care of Mom in her last few months of life. Mamá… Gracias por ser una mamá tan buena. Te amamos mucho y nos veremos cuando nosotros lleguemos al Cielo. Vaya con Diós.
