Eva Marguerite Davis

Eva Marguerite Davis, 99, of Great Falls, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. A graveside service will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Eva was born on November 16, 1918 in Saco, Montana to Willis P. Hammond and Augusta Louise Schultz Hammond. She attended schools in Saco and graduated from high school there. She worked as a telephone operator in Saco and that was where she met her future husband, Alfred G. Davis. Eva and Alfred were married on August 14, 1941 in Malta, Montana. They spent 76 happy years together. Eva and Alfred were part owners in Border Lanes Bowling in Opheim, Montana from 1958 to 1961. Eva worked at various bookkeeping jobs around Montana for many years and she retired after 20 years from AT Klemens. She was a past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and the Rebecca Lodge. Eva and Alfred enjoyed traveling south for many winters in their motor home and she enjoyed playing golf. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Joseph (LaRae) Davis of Wolf Point, Stanley (Cindy) Davis, Susan Davis and John Dovre all of Malta, Dale Davis, Sherry (Don) Davis Garretson, and Debbie (Ken) Davis Reinhardt all of Billings, Darrell (MaryAnn) Craig of Cypress, TX, Kandra (Tommy) Robertson of Scurry, TX, Hazle Stuker of Havre, Marlene Large of Everett, WA, Alice Mandeville of Miles City, and Vickie Hammond of Bellingham, WA. Eva was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend.
