Emma Emmie (Hergert) Pribyl, 92, of Eden, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Highgate Senior Living.Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Private family burial will be at Highland Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Emma, daughter of John and Emma Hergert, was born in Riverton, Wyoming on July 22, 1923. She received her elementary and high school education in Worland, Wyoming and attended Great Falls Commercial College. She was employed as a bookkeeper at the East Base (Malmstrom) until her marriage. She married Ernest Pribyl on November 21, 1943 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church.Emmie was an exceptional cook and gardener. She passed these skills on to her children and grandchildren with great love and joy. She was a member of the Eden Homemakers, Cascade County Cattle Women (Cowbelles), and Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Her loving touch was evident in all she did: caring for family, working on the ranch, participating in the life of the Eden Community, and sharing a smile with devoted caregivers at Highgate. She will continue to hold on to our hands even though she is gone away from us. She will be lovingly remembered.She is survived by her three sons, James (Marjie) Pribyl of Cascade, Rod (Julie) Pribyl of Eden, John (Kirsten Giroux) Pribyl of Talent, OR; six grandchildren, Jay (Tina-Mari) Pribyl of Cascade, Jennell (Pat) Duey of Billings, Lisa (Andy) Smith of Missoula, Katie Pribyl of Alexandria, VA, Erica (Shane) Chauvet of Big Sandy, and Isabella (Wes) Dodds of Talent, OR; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Karl (Kathy Turner) Hergert and Gary (Bev) Hergert, both of Worland, WY; one sister, Ann Gilbert of Worland, WY; one brother-in-law, Harold Fabricius of Worland, WY; and several nieces and nephews.Emmie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and four sisters, Rosie, Bernie, Irene, and Trudy.We will always miss her presence in our lives, but she will be forever with us in the gifts that she shared: laughter, warmth, wisdom, and unqualified love.The family suggests memorials to Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1326 1st Ave N, Great Falls, MT 59401.
