Emily B. Jackson, 96, of Tracy, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016.A celebration of life will be held later this summer in Tracy where she will be laid to rest. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Emily was born on April 4, 1920 in Tracy, Montana to Jerry and Katherine (Pavich) Tomgenovich. She lived her entire life on family land in Tracy. She worked for National Laundry for 35 years, retiring in 1995.She met Ed Jackson while he was in the service during WW II. They were married in Great Falls in 1946. He passed away in 1976.Emily took care of her sister, Helen for 10 years. She lived in Great Falls during that time. She enjoyed taking care of people her entire life. She worked hard and took time to enjoy family and friends with the best hospitality that she could provide.She is survived by her nephews, Garnett J. (Pat) and Richard J. (Sue) Smith; niece Darlene Lepard; great-nephews Steve, Chad, and Travis Smith; and great-nieces Tiffany Duel and Linda (Steve) Smith.Emily was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ed; brothers John and Joe Tomgenovich; sisters Mary Shirley and Helen Smith; and nephew Ron Smith.A special thank you to Peace Hospice nurses and Donita Konesky, who stayed the entire time that Emily was there.Donations are suggested to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405 or the Sand Coulee Volunteer Fire Department, Sand Coulee, MT 59472.
