Emil Francis Schroeder

Emil Francis Schroeder, 92, passed away on January 10, 2021. He was born to William and Josephine Schroeder in Crofton, NE. He attended St. Boniface School in Menominee, NE.He entered the Army in March of 1951, serving nine months in Korea, and was then discharged in December of 1952. He farmed with his dad for a few years and then went to airline school in Spokane, WA. He started working for Northwest Airlines in 1957 in Butte and then Great Falls as a customer service agent until he retired in 1991. He was married to Sandra Sue Stotts (Harris) from 1968 to 1983.Emil enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and reading. He loved spending time with his dogs Benji, Jazz, Junior, Spike, and Winnie. He is survived by his two children, John Schroeder of Seattle, WA and James Schroeder of Great Falls, MT; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lee Walz of Sacramento, CA and Mary Ann (Bill) Dankert of Omaha, NE; and one brother, William (Valerie) Schroeder of Sioux Falls, SD. Emil was preceded in death by his parents, William and Josephine Schroeder; brothers, Roman and Mike Schroeder; and sisters, Lorraine Tramp and Cleopha Schurman. A funeral mass will be held in May 7, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Great Falls, MT.In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Great Falls Animal Shelter (1010 25th Ave. NE, Great Falls, MT 59404).
