Elizabeth Ruth Freeman, 93, of Great Falls, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017.A memorial service will be Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Christian Church. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Elizabeth was born on May 4, 1924 in Kandiyohi, Minnesota to James and Amy (Klint) Smith. She graduated from high school and worked as a secretary at the Montana Grain Inspection Laboratory at Montana State University before starting to work as a medical records supervisor at Columbus Hospital before retiring.Shes been married to Louis Freeman for over 72 years. Together they had one son and two daughters.Elizabeth loved to go traveling in their motor home. They have traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, and Austria. After her retirement they were snow birds for 16 years. She loved camping, sewing, embroidery, cooking, and gathering huckleberries at Hungry Horse every summer.She is survived by her husband, Louis; son James (Sherry) Freeman; daughters Darlene Woxen (Gerald) Goens and Carol (Gene) Householder; six grandchildren, Lisa (Kevin) Freeman-Cook, Lori (Dominique) de Vangel, Teri St. Pierre, Chris (Kammylynn) Woxen, Joan (Jon)Evans-Bannon, and Joyce Householder; and twelve great-grandchildren, Rachel and Katelyn Freeman-Cook, Nicholas and Isabelle de Vangel, Sean and Cory St. Pierre, Christie and Brandon Woxen, Christin and Cody Evans, Katie Gano, and Kari Bannon.Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Wendy Mignano.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Central Christian Church.
