Eileen Linda (Murdoff) McCarthy, 66, of Stockett, Montana, a homemaker died on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at her home of natural causes.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.Burial will take place at a later date in Fargo, ND.Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Eileen is survived by her husband, Robert McCarthy; daughters Tami Buell Thiem of Fargo, ND and Sandra Buell Addler of Denver, CO; step-sons Kevin McCarthy, Brian McCarthy, Craig McCarthy, Jim McCarthy and Robert McCarthy all of Butte, MT and Mark McCarthy of Great Falls; brothers Gerald Murdoff of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas Murdoff of Fargo, ND and Terry Murdoff of Alliance, NE; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Eileen preferred to be called Suzy.Suzy enjoyed reading and had a very impressive library.She enjoyed gardening and identifying birds, and loved her cats.Suzy had an appreciation for the fine arts and loved to visit museums.Suzy was renowned for her cooking and baking skills, everyone looked forward all year to the package of Christmas goodies from Suzy.Above all Suzy was a loving, caring and devoted wife to her husband Bob throughout their 37 years of marriage.Suzy loved and was loved by her family and will be truly missed by all.Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Murdoff and Linda Larson.Memorials are suggested to the Great Falls "public" Library, 301 2nd Ave. No., Great Falls, MT 59401.Condolences may be left online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
