Eileen Hoff-Foley

May 3, 1926 — January 25, 2015

Eileen Hoff-Foley, 88, of Great Falls, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 25, 2015 fighting a battle with metastatic liver cancer her last months at Peace Hospice. Eileen was born in Nashua, MT, May 3, 1926 to Mike and Meral Sterback. She married Robert M. Foley Sr. and together raised their children, Robert M. Foley Jr. and Pamela E. Foley Weaver. After the loss of her 1st husband, Robert Sr she moved on to the next chapter in her life being a widowed lady who enjoyed life to its fullest. After returning to a class reunion at 70, she found an old high school sweet heart and married Cecil Hoff moving to Asotin, WA where they enjoyed retirement life. After Cecils death she returned to Great Falls, MT for her final chapter in life. Throughout her life she was always surrounded by many friends who enjoyed her company and her many great stories of her life. She enjoyed family and was proud to share stories of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eileen was a kind and giving person and was always lending helping kind thoughts of wisdom to all that she came in contact with. She was always up on current affairs in our political world and made it her mission to live in the current times, not the past. She worked hard and was always a high class lady. She gave us all a reason to keep going on and a desire to survive. She was celebrated for being a prayer warrior. She paddled her own boat until the day she passed on. She was full of determination to live a blessed life. She was a great role model to us and we all admire her helpfulness to keep us on track. Eileen had many talents which she accomplished with excellence and much pride. She looked at life like a book with many chapters; her first chapter on her own was at the Ursuline Academy finishing school. Prior to marriage; she worked as a secretary at an aluminum plant in Spokane, a teacher in a one room school house, and Sullivans Dress Shop in Great Falls. After the passing of her first husband, she returned to the work force at the Wedding Cottage where she was fortunate to travel the USA on trips to buy fine wedding apparel. Many brides and grooms were blessed with her talent to make their day exactly how they dreamed it would be. Everyone who encountered her was shown loving kindness. Eileen left of legacy of memories. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Elizabeth Eileen Weaver; two husbands Robert M. Foley Sr. and Cecil A. Hoff; parents Mike and Meral Sterback; sister Patricia Chamberlain; and many friends that she loved dearly. Eileens surviving family are son Robert M. Foley Jr. (Connie) of Basin, MT; daughter Pamela Weaver (Gary) of Williamsburg, VA; two sisters Della (Joe) Helgeson of Kalispell, MT and Vera (Jerry) Kinkade of Quartzsite AZ; grandchildren Lance Foley (Melissa), Amber Westie (Kevin) of Great Falls, MT, Nicole Foley Badii (Berhang) of Alexandria VA; Joe Weaver of Williamsburg, VA, Kirk (Kendra) Weaver of Ithaca NY, Jamie Weaver of Williamsburg, VA; and several great-grandchildren. She also had many nieces and nephews that she showed her loving kindness always. She loved to visit with each and every one of them. Your thoughts and kindness toward Eileen and her family are greatly appreciated. A memorial service will be held at Glacier Memorial in Kalispell, MT on May 30, 2015. In lieu of flowers any memorials can be made to the Ursuline Center, 2300 Central Ave., Great Falls, MT 59401.
