Edward T. Moore, 58, of Great Falls, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.Ed was born February 18, 1958, in Great Falls, Montana to Ray Z. and Edna G. Moore. He attended elementary and secondary schools in Great Falls and completed two years of college at the University of Montana in Missoula. In 1982, he was indentured into the National Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program and received his Journeyman Lineman ticket in 1987. For over 25 years, Ed worked in the outside electrical supply industry performing duties as a lineman and foreman. He felt that he was fortunate to travel to many places and visit areas that he may not have seen in another industry. Ed loved working outdoors, traveling and performing manual labor. He made sure there were venues and adventures available for his family, who often traveled with him to job sites. He worked in Montana, Washington, California, Utah and Michigan building power lines. He was capable of operating several kinds of machinery, including, aerial man lifts, backhoes, auger trucks, forklifts, boom trucks and cranes up to 90 ton.In 1982, Ed married Emily Joyce Pearson. Together Ed and Emily raised one daughter and two stepsons. As a family they enjoyed camping and fishing together. Ed was often called Eddie by his friends, co-workers and family.Ed was a member of the Eagles Fraternal Organization. He appreciated his membership and kept it active.Ed is survived by his wife, Emily; daughter, Rachel (David Reardon); stepsons, Shannon and Quentin Kelley all of Great Falls; brother Greg Moore (Patti) of Arlington, TX; sister Coleen Eidel of Great Falls; grandchildren Breanna Sangrey, Elijah Moore, Vince Kelley, Carter Kelley, and unborn grandson Noah Reardon.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Edna Moore.A memorial service for Ed will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. His reception will follow the memorial at the Eagles Lodge, 1501 9th St S.Memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army or to a charity of your choice.
