Edward Bucko

Edward P. Bud Bucko, Jr., 73, of Great Falls passed away on June 21, 2017 at Peace Hopsice.A graveside will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the burial.Edward was born on May 2, 1944 to Ardis and Edward P. Bucko, Sr. in New Port News, VA. He was a war baby. Once his father was honorably discharged from the military, they moved back to Great Falls, MT. Bud attended grade school and high school in Great Falls.After high school, he joined the Navy. He was stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam. While stationed in Vietnam he was met with tragedy and was hospitalized. Bud returned home as a disabled veteran and has spent the rest of his life in assisted living facilities.The best days of his life were his school days. He especially loved the vacations, when he traveled with his dad, who was an Industry Representative. They traveled through WY, enjoying Thermopolis, Cody and Yellowstone. They also enjoyed Lincoln, MT together and many western towns. His father taught him to drive a car during these trips. He loved visiting with his family and friends.Bud is survived by his father; a great nephew, Loren Bucko; two nephews and one niece all of Texas.He was preceded in death by his mother; brother Randall; and sister Paula Jean.
