Dorothy Elaine Gibson

Dorothy Elaine Gibson, 80, passed away on September 26, 2024. At Dorothy’s request, no services are planned. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In 1962, Dorothy married the love of her life, Lyle Gibson, and they shared 51 years together before Lyle’s passing in 2014. Lyle lovingly referred to Dorothy as “Bird”. They were blessed with many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was called Auntie by all the kids. Dorothy dedicated her life to caring for Lyle and her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to help others in any way possible. After uncle's passing, auntie found comfort in sharing stories of uncle with her close friend and neighbor, Sue Stewart. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Violet Edwards and brothers, Alfred (Elaine) Wiseman, Roy Wiseman, and Russel (Kathy) Wiseman; nieces and nephews, Ron (Deb Anderson) Wiseman, Curtis Wiseman, Mike (Tricia) Wiseman, Chad Wiseman, Esther Peek, Shauna (Mark) Cook, Grace Cook, Bruce (Sheila) Morgan, Jamie (Gary Mittan) Mann, Jaden Mann, Alanna (Harlin) Stines, Chloe Stines, and Shayla Stines, Tia (James) Kemper, Kylie Kemper, Hunter Kemper, Addilyn Kemper, Ryann Kemper, Sara Mittan, Karson Mittan, Haydin Mittan, Logan (Shawna) Mittan, Emerson Mittan, Noah Mittan, Heidi Jewett, Scott Gibson, Lyne and Lindsay Gibson, Joann Sanger, Lindsey Myre, and Sherry and Crystal Brock.

Never getting over the loss of Lyle, we find comfort in knowing she is now with him to rest in eternal peace together.
