Doris Parker Marion

Doris Parker Marion, 90, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. A private graveside service will be held at Parker Cemetry, Parkerfield, Kansas at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home. Doris was born on November 9, 1927 to Audy and Rena (Wilburn) Tirey in Rocky, Oklahoma.Doris's family were migrant workers and she started working in the fields at a young age.She was a wife and mother.Later in life, she received her high school diploma and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She met and married Arthur Parker and together they had four children, Arthur “Pete,” Doris Ann, Peggy, and Gloria. He passed away in 1993. She later married Maurice Marion and he also passed away. Doris enjoyed quilting, crocheting, fishing, time with her grandkids and camping with her family. She is survived by daughters, Gloria (Jerry) Badgett of Power and Peggy (Tim) Kimmet of Rudyard; son Pete (Ann) Parker of Katy, TX; son-in-law Cary Brinegar of Salina, KS; stepdaughters Nelda Jeffrey, Ruth Ann Maynard, and Kathy Marion all of Kansas, 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by both her husbands, Arthur and Maurice; daughter Doris Ann Brinegar; great-granddaughter Skye Gulick; and all her brothers and sisters.
