Donna Torres

Donna Torres passed away peacefully on September 1, 2022. Donna was born in Connellsville, PA on October 30, 1948. She is the daughter of John D. and Doris Chambers. When she was five years of age, Donna and her family moved to San Diego, CA where she grew up. She lived there until her graduation from high school. She married the love of her life, Jose L Torres, on October 7, 1966. She and her husband, Joe had five children. Two boys and three girls. Since Donna’s husband was on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, she and her husband traveled to and lived in several countries. Donna was a wonderful mom and a great wife. Taking care of her family was her number one priority. She loved and cared for her family very much. From a very early age, Donna wanted to be a nurse. She loved taking care of other people. In 1979 she became a CNA and a few years later became an LPN. Fifteen years later she went back to school and became a registered nurse. Donna enjoyed playing tennis and golf. She once got a hole in one while playing at the Anaconda Hills Golf Course. She also enjoyed traveling in the great outdoors. She fished and also enjoyed gardening, house plants and flowers. Donna was a bookworm and really enjoyed reading. She is survived by her husband, Jose L. Torres of Great Falls; brother, David Chambers and his wife Lori of SanDiego, CA; sister Barbara Ake and her husband Bill of SanDiego, CA; sons, Joseph and wife of Borego Springs, CA and Felipe of Missoula MT. Her daughters Kimberly Torres of Great Falls MT, Andrea Nelson of Great Falls, MT, and Natalie Brackman Landry and husband, Miles. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Donna loved and cared for her family very much. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. May God bless her and may she rest in peace. A funeral mass for Donna will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (410 22nd Avenue NE in Great Falls) on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at Manchester Cemetery.
