Donna (Prim) Pike, 88, formerly of Fairfield, died of natural causes on Thursday, March 14, at Peace Hospice House in Great Falls, MT. A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairfield. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Donna was born on January 23, 1925, in Scobey, Montana, to Arnold and Agnes (Stai) Prim.As a young girl, her family moved to Wildrose, North Dakota, where her father ran the General Store. Upon her fathers passing and graduating from high school, Donna and her mother moved to Great Falls, Montana, to be near family.She learned bookkeeping at Great Falls National Bank where she worked for eight years.During this time, she met Ray Pike and they discovered their mutual love for dancing and each other.They were married in 1945 in Seattle, Washington, where they lived for two years.They returned to Montana and bought a farm on the Greenfield Bench in 1952.Donna was a hard-working farm wife while raising her two children, Rayleen (Steve) Frost of Great Falls, MT, and Arnie (Joyce Andrus) Pike of Kuna, ID.She worked for 24 years as a bookkeeper for the Greenfield School District. After selling the farm in 1989, Ray and Donna moved to Fairfield and continued their weekly dancing dates in Great Falls and various other locations.She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, collecting owls, spending time at their Benchmark cabin, and traveling. Her parents and the love of her life, Ray, who passed on November 21, 2012, preceded Donna in death. She is survived by her children, three grandchildren, Sara (Kristopher) George of Great Falls, MT, Paul (Tara Hill) Frost of Missoula, MT, and Matt Pike of Great Falls, MT; and four great-grandchildren, Trinity, Madison, Jaiden and Dusty Pike, and step-great-grandchildren Stacia and Ethan Hill. The family thanks the staff at Cambridge Court, Great Falls Clinic Medical Center, and Peace Hospice House for all their love and support during this difficult time.You helped Donna and her loved ones in many ways for which we are forever grateful.
