Donald L. Hall, 86, of Great Falls, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. A gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home. Donald was born January 24, 1931 in Great Falls to Lloyd and Sylvia (Wentworth) Hall. He served aboard the mine sweeper, USS Shoveler during the Korean War. On returning home, he worked for his father at the Hall Hog Farm, the smelter, and driving for City Bus Lines. In 1969, he and his wife Marion established Hall Transit with 3 school buses. In 1973, they expanded the business with 33 buses, later adding 22 more, along with 11 over the road coaches. He married Marion “Punky” Squires in 1953. They divorced in 1983. Donald is survived by his children, Dawna (Ken) Kraus, Scott (Lynn) Hall and Keith “Casey” Hall, all of Great Falls; grandchildren Kim (Mark) Wermling, Tess (Doug) Shawver, Adam (Destiny) Hall, Ben Hall, and Mitchel Gregg; six great-grandchildren; brother Bobby; and a gaggle of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 14 brothers and sisters.
