Dolores Houseman Heinen, 77, of Great Falls, retired purchasing agent for the US Forest Service, died Friday, April 12, 2013 of natural causes at Peace Hospice.A vigil service is planned at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. A funeral liturgy is planned for Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will take place at Hillcrest Lawn Mausoleum following the service. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Dolores was born on May 2, 1935 to Francis Bic and Margaret Redfern in Great Falls, Montana. She attended Central Catholic High School where she graduated in 1953. She started working for the US Forest Service when she was 18 working for the Bureau of Reclamation. She retired as a purchasing agent from the US Forest Service after 40 years.She married Jack Houseman in 1960 in Great Falls, Montana. He died May 21, 1979. She later married Robert Heinen in 1991.Dolores was a member of St. Ann Catholic Parish in Ft Shaw, Montana; a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for Knights of Columbus; and part of the Mended Hearts Society. She was a founding member and treasurer for the Montana Veterans Memorial.Her greatest joy was driving her 66 Cadillac Convertible with the top down.Dolores is survived by her husband, Robert Heinen of Sun River; daughters Kathleen (Darren) of Madison, AL, Tracy (Matthew) Wickel of Waterford, MI; a son Mike (Deby) Houseman of Great Falls; a brother Jay (Shari) Redfern of Helena; and five grandchildren.Memorials are suggested to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT59405.
