Dixon Kress, 69, passed away on September 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Dixon was born September 24, 1952, in Powers Lake, North Dakota. From an early age, Dixon was an enthusiastic athlete who participated in Special Olympics. He loved playing basketball and baseball, especially when someone else was chasing the ball. He also enjoyed dancing, swimming, Boy Scouts, and going to the movies. Dixon worked at Easter Seals for nearly 40 years where he made many friends and worked on numerous hobbies and projects. He had to retire after his health began to fail. During retirement, Dixon enjoyed shopping in his wheelchair, going for long rides, enjoying the outdoors, especially in the Charles Russell Park, as well as playing cards and listening to music, two of his long-time passions. He is survived by his mother, Marlene, and his sister, Anita. He was preceded in death by his father, Royal. Dixon lived with a deep faith and an enthusiasm for life. He is missed and always will be. “When first we knew how limited your life would be, Our days were filled with grief and pain For things that would never be. But now we know God had a plan for us. You've filled our lives with a Special Love And ever thankful we will be.”
