Diana Michele Wells-Boboth, 47, of Craig, Montana died of cancer on Friday, December 30th, 2011 at her home surrounded by family.A celebration of Micheles life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Craig Volunteer Fire Company.Michele was born July 12th, 1964 in Vancouver, Washington to Theron Smith and Diana McCurdy.As wife of the Craig Fire Chief and bartender extraordinaire, Michele was highly involved within the community as well as fundraising efforts for the fire service area.She loved the outdoors, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters.She was an avid reader and a published author.Her smile and optimism touched everyone throughout her life and the canyon and will be remembered forever.Michele is survived by her husband, Rod Boboth of Craig; her parents Theron Smith, Sr. of Kennewick, WA and Diana Barrett of Sweet Home, OR; her brother, Theron Smith of Toutle, WA; her sister, Cathy Sherman of Kennewick, WA; a step-daughter, Kayla Boboth of Houston, TX; two granddaughters, Chloe and Jameson Cook; two nephews and two nieces; two great nieces and two great nephews; and best friend, Stacy Schmidt of Cascade as well as the entire Craig community.She was preceded in death by her son, James Robert Cook.If you choose, donations can be made to Sletten Cancer Institute, 1117 29th Str.
