On December 2, 2021, Dennis M. Dronen, 74, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, at O’Connor Memorial Chapel. Masks are encouraged. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Leslie; two sons, Bradey Dronen of Washington and Jody Dronen of Colorado; two grandchildren, Madisen and Jaxsen Dronen of Washington; two nieces, Michele Anderson of Washington and Teresa Leininger of Colorado; and his furry loves, Tommy and Bear. Denny was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, on February 5, 1947, to Geraldine and Argelis J. Dronen. Dennis graduated from Great Falls High School in May 1965. He attended Montana State University, Northern in Havre, and graduated from the College of Great Falls in May 1971. He remained a lifelong Bobcat fan. He joined the Montana Air National Guard in 1967, retiring in December 1993 as Senior Master Sergeant. He worked full time as a Deputy Juvenile Probation Officer from 1978 until 2009, the last five years serving as Chief Probation Officer. Denny’s great smile and amazing sense of humor were enjoyed by the many friends he made through the years. You never went anywhere without hearing his latest joke…and some of his go-to favorites. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, softball, bowling, photography, skiing, and golfing. His greatest joy was socializing with friends and strangers alike. Dennis married Patricia Scott in 1969 and they divorced in 1982. From that marriage, his precious sons were born. He married Leslie Fulbright in 1989, and they enjoyed 35 years together. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; his aunt, Dorothy; and his sister, Sheila. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of your choice.
