Delbert E. Lemons, Jr.

Delbert E. Lemons Jr., 61, of Craig, a ranch hand, died on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at his residence of a heart attack.A memorial service will be held at the Craig Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Delbert was born Sept. 24, 1950 in Great Falls, the son of Helen (Viktora) and Delbert E. Lemons, Sr.He graduated from Cascade High School and worked construction operating a cat when the Interstate was built.He was raised ranching with his family and made ranching his career because of his love for the outdoors and his knowledge of cattle.He worked for Sterling Ranch Co. of Craig most of his life. He married Marjorie Myers in Cascade, on July 5, 1976 and they had three children together. He was a proud father and grandfather. He was a volunteer fire fighter for 30 plus years with the Craig and Wolf Creek Fire Service Areas.Delbert was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother David Lemons. Delbert is survived by his daughters Della Yeager of Choteau, and Emily Lemons of Great Falls; son Clint Lemons of Cascade; brother Daniel Lemons of Craig; sister Susan Solomon of Havre, and four grandchildren; Veronica Riphenburg, Vanessa Riphenburg, Evan Riphenburg and Logan Yeager.Memorials are suggested to Craig Volunteer Fire Dept, 375 Augusta St, Wolf Creek, MT 59648 or Veronica Riphenburg, P.O.
