Debra "Debbie" Janes

December 15, 1954 — June 24, 2017

Debra Dianne Debbie Janes went home to be with her Savior after a long battle against scleroderma on June 24, 2017 in Great Falls, Montana at the age of 62.Debbie was born on December 15, 1954 in Sydney, Montana to William and Gloria Olson. She graduated from University of Montana in June of 1978 with a degree in Business Education and a minor in Drama. She met the love of her life, Allen Janes, and married him on December 17, 1977. After moving to Bozeman, Debbie began working for Shanahan Architects while Allen attended Montana State University. Debbie began her full time job as a homemaker in 1984 to care for their three children: Nathan, Whitney, and Megan. Later, Allen and Debbie opened their own concrete polishing and coatings business, Central MT Coatings, for which Debbie was the bookkeeper.Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Allen Janes, their children, Nathan (Faith) Janes, Whitney (Bobby) Riviere, and Megan Janes; four grandchildren: Alina, Alex, Asher, Andrew and fifth on the way; mother, Gloria Olson; and brothers, Doug (Theresa) Olson, Mark (Sandee) Olson, and Todd (Rehanna) Olson; and four nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, William Bill Olson.Debbie was one of the most positive people you will ever meet, and her nurturing disposition was evident for all even with her physical limitations later in life. She had a boisterous personality, endearing sense of humor, and many had the privilege of enduring her corny puns. Her spirited and competitive nature was very evident when she watched her Pittsburgh Steelers or Montana Grizzlies play. Furthermore, she would cheer obnoxiously with hoots and barks when her children played volleyball or soccer. She was a devoted mother, wife, and an accomplished homemaker for her family. She loved homeschooling her kids and took pride in cultivating a solid education while keeping it fun. She was a committed member of Solid Rock Bible Church where she led the drama department, directing many plays and skits. She also served the church well until her disease prevented her from serving further. Her love for her family and the Lord were the driving forces in her life. Her commitment to her faith and trust in the Lord, no matter what, inspired so many and greatly impacted her family. When her body was weak, she found her strength in Christ. Even in the midst of chronic pain she continuously praised His name. Her family mourns the loss of its matriarch, but rejoices that Debbie is whole and healed in heaven.A celebration of life officiated by Pastor Ken Johns is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Solid Rock Bible Church. A reception will follow at the church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Debbie's life.
