Dean Edwin Yearout Sr., 87, of Monarch, a gun and antique dealer/watch repairman, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at his home.At his request no services are planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Dean was born on May 18, 1926 to Joseph and Alice (Arnold) Yearout in Lyndon, Kansas. He joined the US Navy in Kansas in 1944.He married Peggy Sharon in Coeur dAlene, Idaho on May 10, 1984.Dean was a lifetime member of the NRA, Winchester Gun Club, and American Pool Association. He also taught hunters safety.He was a Jack of all trades, gun collector, watch repair, built pool tables, jeweler, artist, carpenter, and a great story teller. He loved hunting, playing cards, and his dogs. He loved his granddaughter Savannah dearly.Dean is survived by his wife Peggy of Monarch; son Jason Sherrard; daughter Jamie (Trennis) Baer; and grandchildren Savannah Sherrard, Madiline Janzer, Melissa Baer, Kristy Baer, Christopher Baer, and Andrea Baer.He was preceded in death by his son Eddie Dean Yearout and his brothers Joseph Yearout, Lewis Yearout, and Arthur Yearout.
