Dean Mora

Dean Fred Mora, 79, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015.At his request no services are being planned. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Dean was born on December 3, 1935 in Great Falls, Montana to Fred and Marie (Steffani) Mora. He attended high school at Great Falls Central Catholic High School graduating in 1953. He attended college at the University of Montana on a football scholarship. He was a member of the Montana Air National Guard, worked with Farmers Insurance for years before joining the Great Falls Fire Department where he worked for over 33 years before retiring as a Batallion Chief.He married Charlotte Jane Mayer in 1959 they had two children, Jeff and Pamela. Charlotte passed away in 1988. He married Joy Olson in 1996.Dean was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He loved all of his family and loved spending time with them. Poppa will be missed by all who knew him.He is survived by his wife Joy Mora of Great Falls; children Jeff (Susan) Mora, Pamela (Peter) Schuster-Southon, Dave Olson and Bob (Patty) Olson all of Great Falls; 22 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; numerous relatives; and his beloved Uncle John (Betty) Mora to whom he was particularly close to throughout his life.
