David Arnold Olson, 62 years young, was born on Jan. 6, 1957. On Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, Dave went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ after a long battle with various health problems. A celebration of life service was held on Saturday, Feb. 16. Dave grew up in Valier, attended elementary and high school and graduated in 1975. Prior to moving to Shelby he spent time in the U.S. Navy, stationed in California and Diego Garcia. Dave worked for Dick Irvin Trucking for 25 years, a year and a half as a driver and the rest as a dispatcher in the office. He loved his job and the people he worked with. Dave was an active member and leader of New Life Community Church in Shelby. He was always willing to help, no matter who you were or what your beliefs were. Dave had a strong faith. He wasn’t always vocal about it, but it was an important part of his life. He is survived by his wife Deanna; three children;Rene’ of Colorado, Robyn of Californiaand Tim (Julie) of Florida; seven grandchildren;Alisha, Sophia, Kaden, Joshua, Jaylynn, Grayson and Jayden; his mother Betty Olson of Valier; and three siblings, Madelyn (Terry) of Georgia, Carla (Darrell) of Colorado and Louis (Lisa) of Arizona.
