David Wayne Korst, 67, of Great Falls, MT passed away on May 13, 2023, after a year-long battle of complications from heart surgery. He was born on January 7, 1956, to Harriet and Sylvester Korst in Great Falls, MT. Dave graduated from CMR and had lots of friends and family that loved him dearly. He worked at multiple print shops and for the City of Great Falls Forestry Department, which was the best job he ever had. He loved driving around, looking at trees and visiting with all his co-workers and the public. He loved to take his family everywhere in Great Falls to look at trees. He loved going to the mountains to his cabin and taking his boys, “Leo and Buddy,” his two black labs. That was his favorite thing in the whole world. He would have loved to live there.
He met his wife, Jennifer at Advanced Litho Printing. They were married for 31 years, and he was the best husband a person could ever have. He had two children, Amy and Jason. They meant the world to him. He always worried about them and if they had food and money. He never went a day without worrying if they were okay. His grandkids (all of them) were never far from his mind too. He loved to tease them and make sure they were always doing the right things.
We will not know what to do without him! He is forever in our hearts and minds.
David was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas and James; daughter, Amy; and grandson, Justin Coen. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; son, Jason (Brittany) Korst; grandchildren, Kelsey, Mathew, Graycie, Kendyl, Kaden, Bryleigh, and Benson Korst, and Amanda Gagnon; great-grandson, Eli Coen; brothers, Leroy and Bill (Trish) Korst, and sister Frances (Bob) Olson.
