David Jellum

David Gary Jellum, 55, of Great Falls, a general superintendent in the construction business, died on Saturday, July 7, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Northwest Family Fellowship.Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.David Gary Jellum was born on October 5, 1956 in Glasgow, Montana to Gordon and Ruth Jellum.He graduated in 1974 from Glasgow High School. He married Virginia Ginger Morehouse in Glasgow in 1976.David worked as a mechanic at Bills Westland in Glasgow.He started his construction career in 1977 with Morgen & Oswood Construction.He continued with his building career throughout his life all over the northwest building numerous heavy construction projects, including his love-bridges.David enjoyed any activity involving the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gardening.He was restoring a 1962 GMC pickup for his first grandson.Although all of his activities were important to him, above and beyond was anytime he spent with his wife, three daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandsons and his beloved Brittany Spaniels.David is survived by his wife, Virginia Ginger Morehouse Jellum of Great Falls; daughters Leslie (Pete) Jellum Torgerson, Lindsey Jellum, and Toni (Jake) Jellum Simpson all of Great Falls; sisters Susan (Chuck) Boid of Great Falls, Lois Morehouse of Billings, Diane Rosander of Billings, Carol (Gary) Morehouse of Thompson Falls, Mary Tonning of Idaho, and Gloria Jellum of Glasgow; brothers Steven (Gayle) Jellum of Gillette, Wyoming, and Dr. Gale (Karen) Jellum of Glasgow;sister-in-law Arlene Jellum of Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren, Blaine David and Evan James; numerous nieces and nephews, along with special added daughter, Genie Morehouse Lyman.He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Ruth Jellum; and brothers Dennis and Donald Jellum.Donations in Davids name may be made to the Preservation Cascade, 10th Street Bridge, 1409 4th Avenue South, Great Falls, MT 59405.Condolences may be left for the family at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
