David Carlson

David Edward Carlson, 65, of Sand Coulee, passed away after battling brain cancer, at home on February 26, 2017 surrounded by family.He was born to Dave and Shellie Carlson on May 4, 1951. David worked as a carpenter, mechanic on road construction, and retired from Tractor and Equipment after 30 years.David married the love of his life, Karen Ann Greenslate on April 19, 1979. They had two boys, Cory of Missoula and Kyle of Great Falls. He taught his boys his love of the outdoors and did many activities with them. In later years, he and Karen traveled to Mexico, Hawaii and the Gulf Coast States to enjoy the ocean beaches.David is survived by his wife, Karen; children Cory and Kyle; grandchildren Liam Carlson of Missoula, and Parker and Miles Carlson of Great Falls; father Dave Carlson of Belt; sister Karen (Rick) Pepos of Sand Coulee; and numerous nephews, niece and niece-in-laws.He was preceded in death by his mother, Shellie; brother Scott; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Memorials in Davids name may be made to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.Thank you to the nurses and doctors that took such wonderful care of Dave.
