Darrell Duane Goodmundson

Darrell Duane Goodmundson passed away on July 5, 2023, at the age of 94. He was the proud grandson of Icelandic immigrants. Darrell accomplished many things in his long life including graduating from college at a time when few people went and served in the Navy. He spent his life working on and taking over the farming operation started by his father.

Darrell had three children, Paul, Julie, and John with his first wife, Phyllis. He and his second wife, Vera, traveled the world and wintered in California.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Leona; and both of his sons. He is survived by his wife, Vera, and her extended family; daughter, Julie (Russ); six grandchildren; Corey, Ryan, Caleb, Rachel, Kayla, and Keon and four great-grandchildren.

Family was always important to him, and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service, with full military honors, will be held on July 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dutton Cemetery, followed by a reception at the American Legion Hall.

Memorials may be made to the Dutton American Legion or the charity of the donor’s choice.
