Darrell Buus

Darrell Lloyd Buus, 89, of Great Falls, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017.A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at the Other Place. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Darrell was born on May 17, 1928 in Tea, South Dakota to John and Muriel (Purvis) Buus. He graduated high school in Lennox, South Dakota. After he graduated, he joined the Air Force and served from 1951 to 1955 and was honorably discharged. He was a car salesman his whole life.Darrell and his first wife, Elsie had three children, Roxy, Marshall, and Randy. They later divorced. Darrell and his second wife, Bette had two children, Tim and John.Darrell was a member of the Elks drum and bugle corps, the Eagles, and the Mustang Club. He loved dancing, working on his cabin, and rally road racing.He is survived by his sons, Marshall, Tim, Randy, and John; sisters Marlene and Marilyn; brother Dwight; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; son Roxy; and wife Bette.
