Dale Robert Cooke

Dale Robert Cooke, 68, of Loma, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 in a local nursing home in Great Falls. Dale was born on August 23, 1949 in Havre, Montana to Samuel and Dorothy (Braun) Cooke. He attended country school for grades 1 through 8 and high school at Big Sandy. He received his GED while serving in the Navy with 2 years in active duty and 4 years in the reserves. Dale worked at logging in Oregon, drove school buses and worked at the Town Pump. He enjoyed riding around in his car, watching wildlife at the river, and fishing. Dale also enjoyed delivering puppies with his significant other, Judy. Dale is survived by his significant other, Judy L. Beloate of Loma; son Dustin Hansen of Portland, OR; daughter Dan’Elle Hansen of Bend, OR; brother Rodney “Pete” Allen of Malta; sister Delores Ann “Boo” Mayhew of Helena; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, James Luther Cooke in 1971; and brothers David George Cooke in 2013 and Donny Ray Cooke in 1999. Dale’s ashes will be placed in inurnment at Big Sandy Cemetery at a later date. A memorial potluck will also take place at a later date.
