Daisy Moore

January 20, 1924 — June 21, 2017

Daisy Moore, born January 20, 1924 in Aline, Oklahoma, died peacefully and quickly at her home on June 21, 2017.Daisy grew up in Oklahoma and went into Civil Service a few months after her graduation from Enid High School. She retired from Civil Service at Malmstrom after 40 years of service. She lived in Great Falls over 50 years.Mom and Dad had seven children, three girls and four boys. We were raised hunting, fishing, camping, and boating as a family, and with each of the seven of them knowing we were her favorite child.Daisy gave her life to the Lord later in life and was a regular attendee at Ulm Bible Church, where her son, Jim, serves as the minister. It was one of her most cherished activities. She was an avid reader until her sight failed enough to make it impossible. The Montana State Library for Blind and Low Vision services made sure she had a tape reader and kept the tapes coming! She did crossword puzzles daily until the end with our help reading the clues and writing her answers after her sight problems. She was still quicker than any of us coming up with the answers. Although the puzzle piece size increased (and the number of pieces of puzzle decreased) over the last few years, she had a 300 to 500 piece jigsaw puzzle in work until the end.She has now joined our father, one daughter, and two daughters-in-law in Heaven.Daisy has left six of us orphaned and with so many memories of her, our Dad, our sister, and of our wonderful childhood in one of the most functionally/dis-functional families ever known. Her 19 grandchildren and dozens of great-grandchildren are her honorary pallbearers.A memorial service will be held at Ulm Bible Church, on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.The family wishes to thank all our friends and church family who have helped us get through this, many of whom have become extended family through the years.Memorials in Daisys name may be made to the Ulm Bible Church or to a charity of the donors choice.
