Craig Allan Smith, 63, of Great Falls, Montana passed away on July 2, 2019 surround by loved ones. One of six children, Craig was born in Murray City, Utah on March 4, 1956 to Edward W. Smith and Belva Rae VanValkenburg Smith. Craig graduated from a trade tech school with a welding certificate.He worked as a fitter and welder for forty-five years in many states across the US, but mostly in Utah and Colorado. Craig was very creative. He made things with steel and he could mold steel into anything he wanted. Craig created six statues that can still be seen outside of the Denver, Colorado baseball field.He was also an Elder in the Church of Latter Day Saints. Craig’s VanValkenburg family line goes back centuries in U.S. history. Craig is survived by his daughters, Dixie Ann Jackson, Alisha Rebecka Davis, Andrea Jean Gove, Latoya B. Jones, and Tanya M. Luker; sons, Steven Craig Smith and Marckus James Gove; sister, Vickie Anne Smith; brother, Tommy Douglas Smith; seventeen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward S. Smith and Belva Rae Valkenburg Smith; and three brothers, Eddie Ray Smith, Billy Kim Smith, Michel W. Smith.
