Connie (Gunlickson) Matthews, 86, of Great Falls, a homemaker, died on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at a local care facility of cancer.A memorial service will be held at Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Our loving mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012. She bravely passed from a battle with cancer.Connie was born August 14, 1926 in Sweetgrass, Montana to Theola and Jerry Gunlickson, and was raised in Great Falls. She was married to Clare Matthews; he died in 1988.She was an avid reader, who also enjoyed rummaging, and baking. She was a joy to everyone who met her.Connie is survived by her daughters Michelle Eaton of Great Falls, Marlys Henderson of Kalispell, Debi Sadowsky of Great Falls, Cherise Schultz of Great Falls, Kara Matthews of Vaughn, Sharla Hart of Great Falls; a son Richard Elliston of Lynnwood, WA; 14 grandchildren, Lisa, Shawna, Joel, Tara, Michael, Steve, Paul, Coni, Christy, Jeramy, Adam, Danielle, Destany and Sean; and 19 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Clare Matthews; a son Joseph Butchie Ridley; grandchildren David Eaton and Jennifer Henderson
