Clarence Schlecht

Clarence G. Schlecht, 84, of Great Falls passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at a local hospice facility.A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Heritage Baptist Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Clarence was born on March 2, 1929 to William and Lydia (Sauer) Schlecht in Vanstel, Montana. He was a Korean War veteran and served in the US Army from 1950 to 1956 when he was honorably discharged. He married Bonnie Acord on September 22, 1956 in Great Falls. He worked for the Anaconda Mining Company in Great Falls for 26years as an equipment operator.He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Schlecht of Great Falls; a son Rodney Schlecht of Great Falls; daughters, Tammy (Jonn) Ogle of Belt, MT and Nancy Schlecht of Great Falls; a sister Lydia (Bernard) Kehrwald of Billings, MT; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and two sisters.Memorials may be given to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405.
