Christina Chris Louise Wallinder, 44, passed away at The University Hospital Burn Unit in Salt Lake City on May 17, 2014.Friends and family are invited to a gathering in memory of Chris on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Quality Inn, 220 Central Avenue in Great Falls. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arragements.Chris was born on September 29, 1969, in Missoula, Montana, to James William Wallinder and Marjorie Knight Wallinder. Chris spent her early years in Hamilton, graduating from Sentinel High School in Missoula where she managed the wrestling team and played on the golf team. Chris also attended the University of Montana.She held a variety of jobs in her short life, but especially enjoyed her most recent work in Great Falls with the residents and staff at Eagles Manor and Park Manor.Chris loved spending time with her family, musical theater, cooking and eating good food. Even in her death, Chris helped others live by donating her organs, which was also an incredible blessing to her family.She is survived by her father, Jim Wallinder (Betty Cabbage) of Hamilton; mother Marji Wallinder of Missoula; sister Jamie (Joe) Berg of Moscow, ID; nieces Emma, Grace, and Faith; nephew Christian; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.Chris was preceded in death by grandparents Frank and Louise Knight Grandpa and Grandma Weezie of Great Falls, and Bill and Louise Wallinder Bunky and Nana of Missoula.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Park Manor, 100 Central Ave, Great Falls, MT 59401 or a charity of the donor's choice.
