Charlotte Tholen

Charlotte L. Tholen, 93, formerly of Great Falls, passed away peacefully in Calgary, Alberta Saturday, August 11, 2012 surrounded by her family.Visitation will be held at Schnider Funeral Home on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Charlotte was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Montana with her family in 1948. She resided in Great Falls until 1989 when she moved to Canada in order to be closer to her daughter and her family.While in Great Falls she was active in the Holy Family Church and had a long lasting relationship with her fellow members of the church's women's society.She is survived by her daughter Willy Lindquist and son-in-law Gordon Lindquist of Calgary, AB; grandchildren Jon of Las Vegas, NV, Lisa of Calgary, AB; nephews Ted and Harry Tholen of Great Falls, MT; John and Jack van Gelder of Sandy, UT along with other nephews and nieces in the Netherlands.Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, John Tholen in 1975.Condolences may be left for the family at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
